White Russian-Seljuk Talks

The capital of the Greater Seljuk Empire was flourishing, it was filled with culture, entertainment, and prosperity. Never since the ancient days of the Ottoman Empire had such a land known these types of riches, an obvious experience the White Russian diplomat (or diplomats) would bear witness to upon their arrival.

The Sultan's Palace had been selected as the place to hold such a meeting between the two regional powers, perhaps to establish some kind of Non-Aggression Treaty or, at most, a unique kind of alliance. Whatever was to be, it would surely be decided by this meeting of potentially epic proportions.

The Seljuk Ambassador to White Russia, Salzar Otep, would be there at the front steps to greet the Russian official.

The Coumt Budyenni arrived to the Conference and greeted the Selduj authorities, then followed the usual banquets and the promises of friendship .
After the presentation of the respective delegations, the Coumt posed a sery of conditions and concessions to the Seldjuk state .
" We think that our people shall be linked by ties of friendship and we are glad to see that our Selduk friends didn't contraddict us in these purposes .
To see an official alliance developing, however we will have to sign a treaty and here there are some possible clauses : there will be a defensive alliance between our two states, a free trade agreement and, finally, an official non aggression treaty .
If the Calipha wants to add some clauses of change some of them, we will be glad to consider his highly esteemed opinion "
Then he sat .

Salzar Otep went through the formal greetings, then took a seat as he began to open discussions with his Caucus partner. He nodded, finding what the Count said as logical. "You are correct, we people of the Seljuk Empire have long respected the traditional customs of the Motherland. In fact, we are more than willing to sign a Non-Aggression Treaty. However, an alliance is a bit more... delicate. The Seljuk government would like to inquire, what can White Russian offer or provide? We cannot just ally ourselves with someone if a better, more promising offer exists. That is, after all, the world of politics, is it not?"

" We offer you a total peace and security in a so delicate area as the Caucasus, such an offer of alliance is more than precious in a world that is growingly shifting to the undiscriminated use of force " .

"While it is true that the Caucas is a region only rivaled by the Gaza Strip, it would be wise to continue negotiations before anything is finalized. What other entanglements has your country become involved in? Alliances, treaties? It would be foolish not to consider such prior engagements before we reach a decision."

" What would be the ideal conditions for the Seldjuk regarding a friendshi treaty between our two nations ? "

"Perhaps some economic deals, such as a reasonable price for Caucus oil. Our country would like to be able to fund it's factories and industrial plants, and oil is always in high demand. Secondly, the Seljuk Empire would like to lease some land in the Eastern European region, for a possible military base. We are also willing to open up Seljuk factories on Russian soil, to allow for you easier and quicker access to some of our products."

" We don't want an economical colonisation from our Seldjuk neighbours and we would never let foreign soldiers entering the Mother soil . We are however ready to concede you a free trade agreement so that our oil may be sold better in the territories of your noble empire " .

The Russian was being difficult, but at least he was reasonable in some regards.

"Well, I suppose that would be all right. Shall we sign then?"

The Non-Aggression Treaty shall be referred to as the Russo-Turko Non-Aggression Treaty.
