Teikoku Gaimushō

Post  Edo Despotate on Sat Nov 15, 2008 5:24 am

The Teikoku Gaimushō, or Imperial Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is an official institution tasked by the Empire of Greater Japan with conducting the foreign affairs of the country. It is led by the current Gaikoku Bugyō (Magistrate of Foreign Affairs) Fukuza Abe, who is directly appointed by Edo.

Permissions for establishing embassies

Permissions for the establishment of diplomatic representations are granted by the Gaimushō on a case by case base. Every applicant will be reviewed and given a response as soon as possible.

(Generally I will assume that since most states already exist for quite some time that diplomatic relations exist. If you feel that this would apply to you, simply post a small post indicating the name of your ambassador. Thanks.)

Diplomatic Archives

The Diplomatic Archives contain a list of previously concluded treaties, list the membership of the Empire in international organizations etc.

I'll be assuming that since the Hanseatic Empire is a very trade-oriented nation and China/Japan have always been worth taking advantage of, we'd have diplomatic ties. As so, I'll be sending Hermann Jagerfeldt as the representative and ambassador of the Hanseatic Empire to the Edo Despotate.
